A space simulator where you explore our solar system
My star system + is a type of a space simulator where the measurements for planets and distances between them have been scaled down to exists within the game’s viewing perspective. The game allows you to take a look around our solar system.
Explore space with realistic sizes and distances
My star system + is advertised as a space simulator, but it is more of a space exploration game. There is very little you can do within the ship. The game is mostly about traveling from one planet to the next. The view screen and your perspective doesn't change, which means there is a certain consistency to the size of the objects you see in space. The planets have mostly photo-realistic skins, which is fine unless you get very close where you can see the grains of the image. Sadly, the spaceship you fly and other space objects, such as asteroids, look like they came out of the Playstation 2 era.
Not an adventure game
My star system + is not a program for space-game lovers. It is a space simulator for people who are looking to understand the scope and magnitude of the solar system. It shows you how planets differ in size when compared with each other, and it gives an idea of how far away each planet is. Sadly, the novelty and learning capacity of the game becomes tiresome rather quickly.
